Since 1993, The Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center has been one of the few comprehensive sleep disorder centers accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). This means we can provide a full range of sleep studies and treatment options for patients of all ages, including infants as young as one month.

Your comprehensive evaluation may include an overnight sleep study where you will be monitored to help determine if you have a sleep disorder.

The Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) is a self-administered questionnaire with 8 questions. It provides a measure of a person’s general level of daytime sleepiness, or their average sleep propensity in daily life. It has become the world standard method for making this assessment.
From a Patient’s Perspective
The Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center’s specialized team has been selected to help you achieve positive results while providing caring, compassionate, and quality medical care. Working together as a team, our specialists will walk you through diagnosing and treating your sleep related illness.
As you arrive at the Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center, a friendly technician will escort you to your clean and comfortable room, with cable TV, and a private bathroom.
After you get changed into your pajamas or a sleep gown, the sleep technician will place sensors on your head and neck which will help determine if you have a sleep disorder.
This process is needle free, pain free, and will monitor various functions while you sleep.
When you wake, a light breakfast will be available for your enjoyment.
