Distance Run Set for Oct. 3 To Benefit Cancer Center

June 1, 2010
Somerset Medical Center will hold the 2nd Annual Steeplechase Distance Run on October 3, 2010, in Hillsborough, NJ. Formerly known as the Steeplechase Spring Classic, the annual event offers participants the option to choose from 25K and 5K runs as well as a one-mile walk, with proceeds benefitting Somerset Medical Center’s Steeplechase Cancer Center.

The event is sponsored in large part by Emergency Medical Associates, Imclone Systems Inc. and Physicians for the Cure, which includes Central Jersey Colon and Rectal Surgeons and Raritan Valley Surgical Associates. The run was founded by Cynthia Lee, MD, a board-certified surgeon at Somerset Medical Center who specializes in breast cancer surgery and advanced laparoscopic procedures.
