Medical Center Welcomes Two New Executives

Somerset Medical Center recently welcomed two vice presidents to its executive team. Carl W. O’Brien of West Windsor has joined the medical center as senior vice president of finance/chief financial officer. Rob Senska of Martinsville, formerly director of corporate compliance at the medical center, has been promoted to vice president of regulatory affairs and chief compliance officer.
O’Brien previously served as corporate vice president of Robert Wood Johnson Health System and chief financial officer and vice president of finance at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He also held leadership positions at Medical Center at Princeton and Ernst & Young in Metro Park. He has also served as a member of the board of directors of Qualcare, Inc. and Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union.
O’Brien is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. and received his master’s degree in business administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.
Senska holds a juris doctorate from Brooklyn Law School, a master’s degree in business administration and health systems administration from Union College Graduate Management Institute, Schenectady, N.Y. and a bachelor’s degree from Union College, also in Schnectady. He is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York. Prior to joining the medical center earlier this year, Senska worked as a health care attorney with law firms in New Jersey and New York and he also spent several years in the Health Care Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General.
