Message From Stephen K. Jones Regarding Haiti Disaster Relief

January 15, 2010

Dear Members of the RWJUH Family:

I know that, like me, you have watched with extreme sadness as the tragic events are unfolding in Haiti. Our thoughts and prayers certainly go out to these people, as well as the hundreds of thousands of family members who now live in our country, and can only wait for word to come on their loved ones.

To help support the relief efforts now underway from around the world, Robert Wood Johnson is joining with the New Jersey Hospital Association in directing our contributions through existing relief organizations. We believe these organizations are best suited to ensure much-needed support arrives when and where it is required.

American Red CrossAt this time, we ask that anyone wishing to provide support make their financial contributions to the American Red Cross; they can be reached at 1-800-RED CROSS or We will be establishing a drop off location for contributions soon and will communicate this to you.

On a personal level, if you have been impacted by this disaster, counseling services are available through our Employee Assistance Program. Please contact their offices at: Newark (973) 972-5429, Piscataway (732) 235-5930, or Camden/Stratford (856) 770-5750, if you would like to schedule an appointment with one of their counselors.

I thank all of you for your compassion and spirit as we come together to support the people of Haiti.
