The Gynecologic Oncology Program is one of only a few sites in the country that uses the continuity of care approach for the treatment of gynecologic oncology patients. This means that the gynecologic oncologist stays with the patient throughout the entire course of her disease, guiding her through the diagnostic process, performing surgery, if needed, and planning her follow up care. Throughout the patient’s treatment, the oncologist works very closely with the patient’s physician to ensure that she is getting the very best care.
