RWJUH Receives National Accreditation For Its Breast Health Program

The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) has granted a full 3-year accreditation to RWJUH. RWJUH is only the third hospital in New Jersey to receive the accreditation, and one of 105 breast centers nationwide.

Researchers have completed a study that pinpoints the period between 24 and 32 months of age as most effective time frame for parents to begin toilet training lessons with their children. Additionally, the study indicates that the timing appeared to matter more than the specific training method.

Gracias, MD, professor of surgery and chief of Trauma/Surgical Critical Care, and director of the Level I Trauma Center, will lead a group that includes surgeons, nurses, case managers and staff specializing in trauma and critical care surgery. The trauma team will provide New Jersey residents with immediate, expert care during unanticipated emergencies that require skilled surgical intervention.
