Class of 2015

Deannon Colon, MD is a NJ native, originally from Newark. She attended Rutgers University where she earned a degree in Biological Sciences. She then went on to attend UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where she earned her medical degree. Dr. Colon has special interests in women’s health, procedures, and community medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys salsa dancing, and spending time with her family.

Daniel Cunningham, MD is originally from Springfield, Illinois. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He went on to earn his medical degree from St. Georg’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Cunningham has special interests in international medicine, women’s health, medical research and sports medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, and classical guitar.


Brianna Fowls, MD is originally from New Jersey. She studied mathematics and visual arts (sculpture) at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and then went on to earn her medical degree from UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Fowls has special interests in primary care, international medicine, public health, and preventive medicine.


Henry Kim, MD attended SUNY Stony Brook where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He went on to earn his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Kim has special interests in preventive medicine.


Mai Nguyen, MD, MS is originally from California. She received a bachelor’s in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Riverside, followed by a master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She earned her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Nguyen has special interests in women’s health and primary care.


Jameel Shahzada, MD is originally from California. He studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of California at Davis, and went on to earn his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. Dr. Shahzada has special interests in procedures, preventative medicine, and alternative medicine. In his free time, he enjoys the great outdoors with his wife and son, and mountain biking.


Elham Siddiqui, MD is originally from Reno, Nevada. She studied Biology and Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno, and then went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Siddiqui has special interests in preventative medicine, palliative care, and international medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with her adorable daughter


Class of 2016

Angela Chung, DO, chief resident, is originally from Taipei, Taiwan, and came to US at a young age. She studied biology at Brooklyn College and went on to earn her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chung has special interests in women’s health, integrative medicine, sports medicine, and sexually transmitted diseases. In her spare time, she enjoys science fiction, making jewelry ruling, and gaming.


Andrew Madaj, MD is originally from California. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology at California State University, Long Beach. He went on to earn his medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. He has special interests in sports medicine and preventative medicine.


Ian Martinez, MD, chief resident, is originally from Katy, Texas. He studied biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University, and went on to get his medical degree from University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. Dr. Martinez has special interests in obstetrics, and pediatrics. In his spare time, he enjoys music, cooking, and spending time with his wife.


 

Shaili Shah, MD is originally from Thousand Oaks, CA. She attended the University of California, San Diego and earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology. She went on to the American University of the Caribbean for her medical degree. Dr. Shah has special interests in hospital medicine, and palliative care. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading novels, dancing, and experimenting with new baking recipes.


Pareen Sheth, DO is originally from New Jersey. She earned a degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Rutgers University, and went on to earn her medical degree from UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sheth has special interests in primary care and women’s health. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, dancing, and spontaneous adventures!


Elad Tennen, MD is originally from New Jersey. He attended Ramapo College in New Jersey where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Tennen has special interests in sports medicine, and primary care.


Opal Thakar, MD is a NJ native originally from Old Bridge. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Thakar went on to earn her medical degree from St. George’s Medical School in Grenada. She has special interests in preventative care, and outpatient medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading and dancing.

Matthew Biernat, MD is originally from Los Angeles. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from the University of California, Irvine. He went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Biernat has special interests in preventive medicine. In his spare time, he loves skiing, running, and swimming.


Michael Green, MD is originally from Howard Beach, NY. He graduated from Adelphi University with a degree in Economics. He went on to pursue a graduate certificate in Healthy Policy and Management from NYU, and a Master’s degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion from Long Island University. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Green has special interests in health policy, and primary care. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, camping, and cars.


Yan Mei Luo, MD is originally from Long Island, NY. She received a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University in Biological sciences, and then went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Luo has special interests in pediatrics and international medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TV, outdoor activities, camping, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family


Amanda Marino, MD is a NJ native, originally from Piscataway. She graduated from Kean University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Marino has special interests in maternity care, women’s health, and international medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family.


Sweta Shah, DO is a NJ native, originally from Toms River. She graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in psychology and went on to earn her medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Shah has special interests in women’s health and preventative medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TV, biking, traveling, and writing.


Kornelia Thomas, MD received her medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. Dr. Thomas has special interests in women’s health, and preventative medicine.


Bing Xu, MD studied Human Biology at the University of Texas at Austin and then went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Xu has a special interest in hospital medicine.
