November 11, 2010
Somerset Medical Center will hold a holiday celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 8 to light its “Giving Tree” in the medical center lobby. Members of the community are invited to attend the free event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. which will include holiday music by pianist Chris Aggabao and light refreshments. Those planning to attend should call Somerset Medical Center Foundation at 908-685-2885.

Attendees will have the opportunity to add ornaments to the Giving Tree by making a contribution to the medical center. Donations may be made in honor of or in memory of a loved one and will be recognized on signage displayed next to the tree. Giving opportunities range from $10 for a small holiday ball to $250 for a large glittered ball ornament.

“Decorating the medical center’s main lobby has brought joy to our patients and visitors for many years,” said Paul Huegel, president of Somerset Medical Center Foundation. “This year, it will mean something more. The Giving Tree will offer members of our community a special way to remember family and friends during this special time of year while showing an their support for Somerset Medical Center.”
